You Are Like David

In the beginning of recovery, I see many men feeling very small. They feel totally overpowered by their negative habits and don’t think they can fight this giant. It’s like David and Goliath, the odds looked bad but David won. 

“If there’s a Goliath in front of you, there’s a David inside of you.”

Something magical happens when people go through the recovery process. I see a light coming back into their eyes. They start to feel in control of their destiny once again.

The Shrinking Problem

And little by little they understand that this issue with pornography and masturbation isn’t as big as they thought it was. In fact they start to see that they are in charge. They start to feel much bigger than the problem.

This is the process of shrinking the problem and growing your confidence in yourself. Just know this can and will happen if you continue to invest.
